Nowadays, we find the need to speak to each other with an uncivil tone.
Certain issues act as triggers, throwing us into an ego zone.
Friendships are lost every day because of political ex parte,
even though we know we have no right to tell someone how to think or feel,
and doing so just keeps us stuck on an unending spinning wheel.
Our only hope for civility is to stop sharing what's on our mind,
and instead, use our hearts to spin a better way to opine.
Together we can jointly decide
to let love and grace fill the space where anger used to reside.
That will allow for tolerance to pave the way
into a bright new future and a brand new day.
